Founded in 2008, Smarkets began as a vision to revolutionize the online betting landscape through innovative exchange technology and transparent operations. Over more than 15 years of operation, we have evolved from a specialized betting exchange into a comprehensive entertainment platform that serves thousands of Irish players daily. Our journey has been marked by continuous innovation, from introducing industry-first features like trade-out functionality to developing cutting-edge mobile applications that deliver seamless gaming experiences across all devices.
Our commitment to excellence has earned us recognition as one of Ireland’s most trusted online gambling destinations, with a stellar 4.3/5 Trustpilot rating and consistently positive player feedback. We have built our reputation on three core principles: transparency in operations, innovation in technology, and unwavering dedication to player satisfaction. This foundation has allowed us to expand our services while maintaining the personal touch and reliability that our players have come to expect.
At Smarkets, our mission is to provide Irish players with the most innovative, secure, and entertaining online gambling experience available in the market today. Key features of our platform include:
Player safety and security form the cornerstone of our operations at Smarkets. We operate under the strict oversight of the Malta Gaming Authority, holding license MGA/CRP/162/2008, which ensures full compliance with international gambling regulations and player protection standards. We maintain segregated player funds in separate bank accounts, ensuring complete protection of your deposits and winnings. Our comprehensive KYC and AML procedures, while thorough, are designed to process quickly – typically within 24 hours – to minimize any inconvenience while maintaining the highest security standards. All gaming software undergoes regular external audits to verify fairness and randomness, providing you with complete confidence in every game outcome.
